Taking care of your feet before, during and after Carnival

With Carnival Monday and Tuesday less than week away, it’s no secret that the health of your feet will be pivotal to survival on the road and recovery, starting from Ash Wednesday.

Before you hit the road, take some time to treat your feet, by visiting any Cher-Mere day spa for a Jelly Treatment (Foot soak), which is a great way to relax the muscles and ligaments.  You can also enjoy a Classic Pedicure, to gently massage the feet, including the legs and calves, which helps promote relaxation.    Your feet will also benefit from a scrub, focusing on the heels and toes, using a pumice bar, along with our Hott Foot Pedi Scrub.

When on the road, wear proper, comfortable footwear. Make sure your shoes are not too tight or too loose, as feet will swell during the day.  You can also purchase insoles or arch supports to place in your shoes, before you put them on.

After playing mas, relieve those sore, tired, aching feet is by simply elevating them. This will increase blood circulation and reduce swelling.   If you do get blisters and cuts, treat them immediately with proper first aid. Open wounds must be disinfected and blisters should be covered with bandages.

Rejuvenate the body as well, with our Tabanca Body Wash, enriched with cinnamon, lemon and spearmint, to leave you feeling refreshed and re-energized.

Book your appointment now for a Jelly Treatment (foot soak) or Classic Pedicure at any of Cher-Mere’s day spas located at Upper Level, Trincity Mall, Upper Level, Mid Centre Mall, Chaguanas, 25 Robertson Street, San Fernando and 23 Cipriani Boulevard, Port of Spain.
