Limit use of heat
To limit damage from hair drying, hold the blow dryer about 6 inches from the surface of your hair and keep it moving. Keep your blow-drying and other heated styling sessions to no more than two or three times a week, to give your hair time to recover.
Go easy on the shampoo
Unless your hair is extremely oily, limit washing with shampoo to once or twice a week. Washing your hair too often may dry it out and possibly weaken the hair shaft.
Massage your scalp
Increasing the blood circulation in your scalp may help increase blood flow to the hair follicles.
A daily scalp massage for 4 minutes, may have the ability to increase hair thickness and strength over time.
